Our Arborteum spans the full 11 acres of Wollam Gardens. Walk around and look for the tagged trees, and the QR codes will tell you the story of that tree. We have more than 30 different species! Some trees are a hundred years old, and others Bob planted when he came to Wollam Gardens 33 years ago. Birds LOVE our trees – we also have many bees, butterflies and pollinators.
Our Chief Curator, Bob Wollam, will personally take you on a guided tour
to show you the wide variety of plants, trees, and flowers we grow on our
property. After the tour, head to our Pavilion for a Q&A session with Bob.
The ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program is the only global initiative to officially recognize arboreta at various levels of development, capacity, and professionalism. Wollam Gardens is also now recognized as an accredited arboretum in the Morton Register of Arboreta, a database of the world’s arboreta and gardens dedicated to woody plants.
