Wollam Gardens is a cut flower farm located 60 miles west of Washington D.C., in the small town of Jeffersonton, Virginia. We grow a variety of unique perennials, annuals, trees, and shrubs on our 11 acres. Our flowers supply designers, specialty florists, locally-focused retailers, and farmers’ markets in the D.C. area. We offer custom floral design for weddings and special events. It’s a joy to create with the beautiful things that surround us. We’ve hosted weddings, workshops, festivals, yoga, and educational programs in our gorgeous Pavilion. Bring a picnic, wander the lush rows of peonies, viburnum, or hydrangeas, and connect with our team. Every season brings something new to experience.

Wollam Gardens has more than 80 varieties of flowers that we grow. Some are “woody” perennials (like the hydrangeas) and others are perennial flowers and still others annuals. Some grow from seeds, others from cuttings, others from bulbs. We offer a changing tableau throughout the year, from forced Japanese flowering quince in the dead of winter, to peonies in the spring, dahlias in the summer and brilliant orange and red ilix in the fall. Come visit and cut your own. Buy fresh flowers every day at our roadside Pink Flower Shack And if you’re a florist or designer, we’ll send you our “availability” every week. E-mail info@wollamgardens.com to request flowers.
Thank you for purchasing some of our flower and/or potted succulents. Here are some tips so you can enjoy them as much as possible.
Keep in a bright and sunny area of your home, we suggest a south facing window.
Find location in home that mimics their natural environment. Most succulents grow in arid or desert environments with bright sun. So a steamy bathroom with little light (though it might look great) won’t be a good spot for this plant to thrive.
When watering, water the soil/rocks rather than the plant itself. Place in sink and give it a good soak. Water should come out of the drainage holes in the bottom of pot.
Let succulents dry out COMPLETELY in-between waterings. If you check the soil and if you feel any moisture, wait another week.
