What is a CSA?
CSA stands for “community supported agriculture”, and it refers to the many ways in which a farm’s customers can help support the farm in its off-season. Though we are very busy in the winter months, we do not have any product to sell, and so we are not bringing in much revenue. Yet the farm still has expenses (including keeping our valuable staff gainfully employed!) All the various CSA or subscription models ask the farm’s loyal customers to pay up front (usually at a discounted price) for products to be delivered later during the growing season. CSA programs generally offer a great value, as well as a way to support and connect with your local farmers.
How does it work?
There are a lot of different CSA models out there. For 2024 we are offering a flexible farmers market-based option. It’s designed to be simple for us and for our customers, and it avoids the many challenges of more traditional CSA models. Here’s how it works: It’s just a pre-paid spending account that you can use to purchase anything from our booth at any of the two farmer’s markets we’ll be attending in 2024…simple as that! Once you choose a preferred option, we will mail you a gift card with the amount you've pre-

Benefits for the Farm?
When we collect your market expenditures up front, it helps to support the farm through the winter. Although we don’t have flowers to sell, we’re still working hard here at the farm, planning and planting for 2024 and beyond! Winter income from the Friends of Anemones Flower Club pays for the seeds and plants that you’ll take home this summer, keeps the heat on in the greenhouse, and supports our hard-working staff, who are out there in the cold prepping the farm for the growing season.

Your account dollars can be used to purchase anything at our booth at the farmers market! Accounts can not be used for the following:
• To purchase additional Friends of Anemones membership subscriptions
• Ticket to events and workshops at Wollam Gardens (though you can apply your unique promo code for a 25% discount)
• Venue rental or custom floral designs

Your account balance will not roll over into the next year. In the fall, we’ll send an email showing your remaining balance so you can make plans to use it all before the end of the season.(holiday decorating!)

Yes! If you use up your funds before the end of the season, you can re-enroll.

You will receive an email notification within 1 week of each purchase, showing your updated balance.
You will receive an email around mid-November with your remaining balance, so you can plan to spend it before the end of market season.
